The Exhibition “Piero Manzoni: Total Space” Opens at Magazzino Italian Art

September 9, 2025

There is a great motion at Magazzino Italian Art. The oasis of Italian Arte Povera in New York, a white spot amid the autumn foliage that characterizes the Hudson Valley at this time of year, has organized a vernissage to mark the opening of the exhibition Piero Manzoni: Total Space. The Italian community responded enthusiastically, celebrating culture and cuisine with an aperitif prepared by chef Luca Galli.

“We are very happy to be able to present Manzoni because he was one of the precursors of the Arte Povera movement and played a decisive role in giving the artists who came after him the freedom to focus exclusively on conceptual art,” said Nancy Olnick, founder of Magazzino together with her husband Giorgio Spanu.
