The City of Milan showcases the work of Remo Salvadori

From July 2 to September 14, 2025, Milan presents the work of Remo Salvadori (Cerreto Guidi, 1947) with a multi-venue exhibition encompassing three iconic locations in the city—Palazzo Reale, the Museo del Novecento, and the Church of San Gottardo in Corte—offering the public an immersive experience in the artistic practice and thought of one of the protagonists of the Italian contemporary art scene.Promoted by the City of Milan – Culture and produced by Palazzo Reale and Eight Art Project in collaboration with the Museo del Novecento and the Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo di Milano, and with the patronage of the Ministry of Culture, and magazzino Italian Art the exhibition is curated by Elena Tettamanti and Antonella Soldaini. Admission to the exhibition on the first floor of Palazzo Reale is free, as is one of the interventions at the Museo del Novecento. The works in the Church of San Gottardo in Corte can be visited with a ticket from the Museo del Duomo.The project will open on July 2nd with four site-specific works in the Sala del Piccolo Lucernario and the Sala delle Cariatidi of the Palazzo Reale, along with two installations, one of which is permanent at the Museo del Novecento. These interventions precede the opening of the retrospective exhibition on the Piano Nobile of the Palazzo Reale, scheduled for July 16th, and are complemented by two works installed at the Church of San Gottardo in Corte, located within the Museo del Duomo di Milano, open to the public from July 18th.Each participating venue presents works created from the 1970s to present time, some of which have been updated to develop in relation to the spaces, as always with Salvadori's work, which by its very nature thrives on a dialogue with the spaces and the public. The "Remo Salvadori" exhibition brings together a corpus of over fifty emblematic artworks, composing the largest solo exhibition dedicated to one of the most significant artists on the Italian contemporary scene.
