Getting to Magazzino

By Public Transportation from New York City

Magazzino Italian Art is located a 10-minute drive from the Cold Spring train station, served by Metro-North Railroad trains on the Hudson Line, ending in Poughkeepsie. Travel time is 70 minutes from Grand Central Station.

Shuttle buses are provided at a charge of $3 per person to and from the Cold Spring train station by Magazzino Italian Art. We recommend booking the shuttle in advance in order to guarantee a seat.

The shuttle bus stops in the parking lot of the Cold Spring train station. If you are coming from Grand Central, the shuttle can be accessed by stepping off the train, ascending the staircase, crossing the footbridge to the opposite platform, descending the staircase, and simply continuing to the adjacent parking lot. If you are coming from Poughkeepsie, a ramp to the adjacent parking lot can be accessed from the same platform.

The shuttle will arrive every hour beginning at 11:00am until 3:00pm to coincide with the trains arriving from Grand Central Station. The shuttle driver will wait for delayed trains. Return trips leave at 12:45pm, 1:45pm, 2:45pm, 3:45pm, and 4:45pm from Magazzino Italian Art to coincide with arriving trains.

You can also use your preferred ridesharing app to coordinate a drop off to the museum. You can arrange your ride from the train station to the museum in advance as there is a limited availability of car hires in the area.
