About the Performers
Daisy Jopling is a classical/rock violinist born in London, and now lives in NY. She has toured the world with her own band, the Daisy Jopling Band and with the creative string trio Triology. She has recorded nine albums, two with BMG RCA Victor. Daisy was the first international violinist to perform a major concert at the Great Pyramids of Giza in Egypt on November 4, 2022, collaborating with Egyptian stars Hany Adel, Wust El Balad and Noha Fekry.
Alex Smith is a Grammy Award-winning pianist, organist, composer, and educator based in New York. Most widely known for his work accompanying Lady Gaga for Super Bowl 50 (2016), he is the keyboardist and arranger for her jazz quintet and was featured on the Grammy winning album with Tony Bennett “Cheek to Cheek.” He has performed with a diverse array of musicians from jazz greats Tony Bennett, Louie Bellson, and Terence Blanchard to stars such as Lady Gaga, Stevie Wonder, Emily King, and Molly Ringwald. Alex is the music director for the Verve recording artist, Brian Newman, and is currently a featured performer for Lady Gaga’s Jazz and Piano residency in Las Vegas at the Park MGM Theater for 2019 and 2020.
Ingrid Jensen is has been hailed as one of the most gifted trumpeters of her generation. She is a sought-out teacher, collaborator, and soloist. A dedicated jazz educator, Jensen has resided on the jazz trumpet faculties at the University of Michigan, Peabody Conservatory and Manhattan School of Music. She also served on the jazz faculty, teaching composition and arranging at Purchase College and the New School for Jazz in NYC.
