On November 2, Magazzino Italian Art, in collaboration with Fondazione Antonio Dalle Nogare, presented a talk by the curator and art critic Cristiana Perrella to mark the publication of the catalogue Re-Materialization of Language. 1978–2022.
The show Re-Materialization of Language. 1978–2022, curated by Cristiana Perrella and Andrea Viliani with Vittoria Pavesi, opened at the Fondazione Antonio Dalle Nogare in Bolzano in 2022 as a re-activation of the seminal project Materializzazione del linguaggio, a historic exhibition by artist and poet Mirella Bentivoglio that opened on September 20, 1978 as part of the 38th International Art Exhibition of the Venice Biennale. That show focused on the “relationship between women and language,” and included works by 90 international female artists, poets, and collectives.
