Magazzino Italian Art presents the short film, "Formafantasma at Manitoga’s Dragon Rock: Designing Nature," by Domenico Palma, on the occasion of the installation at Manitoga from May 13 through November 13, 2022. Featuring interviews with the Director of Magazzino, Vittorio Calabrese, the Executive Director of Manitoga Allison Cross, and Andrea Trimarchi and Simone Farresin of the design duo Formafantasma, the film discusses how the selected works, presented in harmony with the architecture of the space, honor the work and legacy of renowned industrial designer, Russel Wright.
The film also features commentary on the nature of the collaboration, that of two Hudson Valley art institutions, Manitoga/The Russel Wright Design Center and Magazzino Italian Art, and their shared values in architecture, design, and the cultivation of natural landscapes.
