William is the Research Center Coordinator at Magazzino Italian Art. Prior to joining Magazzino, he served as an academic librarian in both state research institutions and small teaching colleges. He holds a BA and an MLS from Indiana University, and is excited to continue this work in the world of ideas within the contemporary art context.
With an academic background in 20th century avant-garde French literature and le théâtre de l’absurde, William is inspired by Arte Povera’s explicit engagement with material and politics, and looks forward to exploring the movement’s enduring resonances with current artistic production in Italy and beyond.
Beyond developing and organizing Magazzino’s collection of books and ephemera, he seeks to create a library space that supports both rigorous academic scholarship and general patron education in contemporary Italian art.
