Lola Nicholas

Events Coordinator

Lola Nicholas is the Events Coordinator at Magazzino Italian Art. She performs daily administrative tasks for the museum, and also organizes tours and answers guests’ collection questions as a Docent. Lola is a native of the Hudson Valley and an admirer of Magazzino for years, participating in formative community events such as Michelangelo Pistoletto’s Walking Sculpture, held in 2017. She also has her own interest in Italian culture and language; her mother is Italian, and she spent a summer in Perugia, Italy, studying Italian language and film.

She graduated from Queens College in 2018 with a degree in film and sociology, and after working various retail and museum visitor services jobs in New York, Lola returned to the Hudson Valley region where she immediately found a home at Magazzino in October 2020. Her variety of experience prepares her to address a diverse range of guest needs and interests as a Docent and Gallery Attendant. In her free time, Lola indulges in a variety of arts and crafts, including knitting, crocheting, watercolor painting, and hopes to one day recreate the whimsical creations of Gilardi: Tappeto-Natura, Magazzino’s 2022-2023 exhibition.
