John Adams

Property Maintenance

John Adams is in charge of Property Maintenance at Magazzino. He manages other Hudson Valley cultural institutions, including MANITOGA / The Russel Wright Design Center and Boscobel House and Gardens, maintaining the building with regular inspections and cleaning. He was brought on personally to oversee Magazzino’s building maintenance prior to the museum’s opening in 2017, and is responsible for the maintenance of the whole building, including the galleries and office. Adams started his own building maintenance business in 1980, getting his start at Sister’s Charity at Mount St. Vincent’s College, while also providing piano and organ lessons on the side and maintaining the offices of clergy, laity, and staff on-site.

From Riverdale, NY, Adams has been a resident of the Hudson Valley since 1984. In his free time, Adams spends time with his dogs, and takes great pride in providing a safe home for as many as five golden retrievers.
