Domenico Palma (Ostuni, 1978) is an Italian filmmaker and lecturer of Art History and History of Cinema. Palma specializes in documentary production and film studies within the domain of contemporary art. His films draw narrative content from site-specific installations, presentations, and art exhibitions. His primary emphasis centers on storytelling and documentation, fostering close partnerships with artists and institutions to capture the diverse facets of contemporary and experimental art performances. In his documentaries, he has explored the works and the exhibitions of artists such as Josef Albers, Pawel Althamer, Carl Andre, Francesco Arena, John Armleader, Alberto Giacometti, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Francesco Vezzoli among others.

Over the years, Palma has collaborated with many institutions including La Biennale di Venezia, Magazzino Italian Art (Cold Spring, NY), MAXXI (Rome), Museion (Bolzano), Guggenheim Collection (Venice), PAC (Milan), Parco archeologico del Colosseo (Rome), Fondazione Antonio Ratti (Como), MART (Rovereto). Since 2014, his films have been shown at several Film Festivals and exhibitions in Italy and beyond.
